If you experience sudden damage to or lockage of your drains, a burst pipe or sudden failure of your domestic hot water system and you need urgent assistance, our contractors are on call day and night ready to attend your emergency and rectify the problem or prevent further damage.

• Up to £250 (including VAT) for call out, labour, parts and materials to carry out an emergency repair

You can use your QuoteMart Home Assistance policy when an emergency affects your home and is caused by one or more of the following problems

• Main heating systems: The sudden failure to function of the main heating system in your home.
  
• Domestic power supply: The failure of the domestic electricity, or domestic gas supply, NOT the failure of the mains supply.
  
• Toilet unit: Mechanical failure of, the toilet bowl or cistern in your home which results in complete loss of function.
  
• Plumbing and drainage; The sudden damage to, or blockage, breakage or flooding of, the drains or plumbing system in your home.

An approved contractor can be sent to your home 365 days a year, at night or day to carry out immediate, emergency repair work to:

• Alleviate unreasonable discomfort, reduce risk to any insured person.
  
• Reduce chances of further damage to your home caused by the initial problem
  
• Make your home safe and secure.

Quality Assurance

We will appoint one of our approved contractors to attend to your problem. All of our contractors are selected on the basis of their high levels of workmanship, attention to detail and reliability. All work carried out under the terms of the policy is vetted for levels of professionalism and adherence to quality standards.

Main exclusions applying to this cover

• Any incident or matter arising before the start of the policy.
  
• Any normal day-to-day maintenance which you should carry out, or the replacement of parts that tend to gradually wear out over a period of time.
  
• Cost of redecorating, or cosmetic repairs to parts or equipment in your home.
• Any incident which occurs where you have left your home unoccupied.
  
• Any properties that you own that are not your main residence or that you rent or let.
  
• Costs for parts or labour if the equipment is still under guarantee or warranty.
• Any claim relating to the interruption, failure or disconnection of the mains electricity, mains gas or mains water supply.
  
• Damage to boundary walls, gates, hedges or fences and any damage to garages or outbuildings.
